What's smart working & hard working

From result-oriented perspective, hard-working is the job done with the best performance in terms of expense, time, labor, standardized, etc. Hence, for the same outcome, whoever brings more effectiveness and efficiency is working hard instead of who simply spends more time. ¹

From resource-consumption's perspective, hard work is consistent over-spending of the most scare of resources, like time, energy and attention ,^{1 2} while smart work is mindfully using the resources to get returns accrued .² Then smart & hard working is to get the max leverage from the limited resources ²

We never promote a mule even it has been working for grinding all its life. ¹
